About Me
I'm Lori Friedrichs, a self-taught artist based in the Midwest.
I came to painting through pain — both emotional and physical. Migraines that sidelined me became unexpected invitations to slow down, pick up a brush, and find something I didn't know I was looking for. What started as a way to cope became a calling.
My work is rooted in florals — the kind that feel alive, layered, and full of life — with landscapes and mixed media pieces woven in. I love the way collage lets me build something new from fragments, much like healing itself.
But more than the making, it's the connecting that drives me. I paint to reach people — to share something true, to build community, and to offer a little love through color and form. Every piece is made with someone in mind, even if I haven't met them yet.
I'm so glad you're here.
